Minimum Requirements

Before we dive into the fun stuff, let's talk about the minimum requirements for this job:

  • You should have completed Standard 10 in school.
  • It would be great if you have at least six months of experience in horticulture (that's just a fancy word for gardening).
  • You need to be physically able to operate gardening equipment like brush cutters and lawnmowers. Don't worry, we'll show you how!
  • Basic safety knowledge is important, so you can stay safe while working.

Primary Duties

Now, let's talk about what you'll be doing as a gardener:

  • You'll be responsible for maintaining and developing the gardens and facilities.
  • This includes tasks like cleaning, sweeping, weeding, watering, and planting plants. You'll be surrounded by nature!
  • You'll also get to apply fertilizers, compost, and mulches to help the plants grow healthy and strong.
  • Don't worry, it's not all about plants! You'll also help with loading and unloading goods, machines, plants, and debris.
  • You'll get to use cool gardening machines like lawnmowers and brush cutters. It's like being in a real-life video game!
  • And sometimes, you might even get to help with decorations and construction. How cool is that?


Here are some things you'll learn and know as a gardener:

  • You'll develop horticultural skills, which means you'll become a pro at gardening.
  • You'll learn basic safety knowledge to keep yourself and others safe.
  • You'll become an expert at using lawnmowers and brush cutters.
  • You'll gain basic plant knowledge, so you'll know how to take care of different types of plants.
  • You'll also learn how to use hand tools, which will come in handy in your gardening adventures.
